The Mustang GTD recently achieved a remarkable milestone by recording a sub-7-minute lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with a time of 6:57.6. The first American production car to turn a sub-7-minute lap also taking the title from the Dodge Viper ACR for the fastest American car to do it with a time of 7:01.3. The Nürburgring Nordschleife is 12.9 miles, 73 turns also know as the “Green Hell”, where manufactures from around use as a testing/proving grounds.
